President Gingrich?

This is interesting. Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich hinting at an ’08 Presidential run. I like his ideas and have supported them since the ’92 “Republican Revolt” in the House. What I don’t care for is his personal attitudes toward marriage. Sure, he wants God in public life but somehow he doesn’t seem to want to honor the Marriage Covenant he made with his wife….or should I say wives.

I don’t know about this really. I think he can win and I am CERTAIN, or as certain as a non-insider can be, that Gingrich could enter the primary with a pretty weak field to insure his winning the nomination. I mean who’s even looking for the prize in 08 among the Republicans? Everyone talks about Gulianni but he will have a hard time with his Pro-Choice position among the South. Some of us “True Believers” would like to SecState-apparent Rice have a run at it but I think that’s a pipe dream. Who else? Anyone? Bueller?

I’m sure this will be all the talk in the morning on the talk shows…if I wake up in time I might just watch them.

If he DOES run and get the nomination and the Dems trot out another Socialist he’ll get my vote and we’ll try and keep him in line.
