Bob,

Funny, but the troops I've talked with INSIDE Walter Reed do not see these vigils as you see them. They see them as a slap in the face.

It wasn't Clinton who imposed the sanctions, it was the UN. It wasn't Clinton OR the UN that caused the deaths you mention. It was Hussein who didn't let the aide get to where it was supposed to go.

The Bush Admin didn't "deny" the troops anything. The bureaucracy of the DOD was the cause of the delays. If you want to rant against that, I'll be MORE than happy to join in with you.

The troops that have been over there support their mission by a very large majority. That is why they keep going back. War isn't a clean business...people get grievously wounded and killed. It really REALLY sucks but it's a fact. It happened during our Revolutionary War, French-Indian War, 1812 War, Mexican War, Civil War, Spanish American War, WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, and all the other little conflicts we have entered into to insure the God Given Freedom that every human is entitled to.

I am sorry you hate the troops so much but if you actually read the signs that code pink has many of them say Best Support Proper Pay and Benefits, Let the Wounded Heal, Bring the Troops Home Alive, Fund the wounded not the war, many of the soldiers would like to be at home alive not dead or in a hosipital for the rest of their lives! The Walter Reed Vigil was created to bring attention to the wounded that were being brought in under the cover of darkness to hide what is going on in Iraq, the fact that so many of our troops are being wounded or killed while Iraq is not better off. Under Saddam Unions were not allowed, Under the U.S. Occupation Unions are not allowed, Many homes and bussinesses are being destroyed and families are being torn apart, and there is massive poverty growing. Saddam was an evil dictator, but Bush is no better and neither was Clinton (who’s sanctions killed 1.5 million people). We need to bring our troops home alive and with proper pay and benefits and let the wounded get the proper medical care, and at the very least they should have the proper equipment which the Bush Admin. has denied them!

I, too, feel your complete rage and disbelief that human beings could do something like this to other human beings. I felt the same way when I read about what the Nazis did to the Jews.
