A slow Internet connection sucks. I'm lucky enough to have a 6mb/724kps connection (yeah I know) it's s,oking fast most of the time although cable does tend to swing up and down a little. Be sure to monitor your speed for awhile and make sure you are getting what you pay for. Mine was awful when I first switched to cable (from DSL) and I got a months credit on my bill for the crappy speed. Rainbow tables you say? Get "Ophcrack" instead (google for the URL, couple of articles on my site as well), same concept and alot smaller. And I recommend the "nepenthes" honey pot for malware (google again) and I have some links in the "online tools" section you can use to help with both of these. (not a shameless plug for my site.
