Moot point now, Pilgrim. Romney is gone, and McCain is now the presumptive GOP nominee. Huckster is so far behind that--even if he wins every primary from here on in--he cannot secure enough delegates to win the nomination outright.

We'll end up with a fight on the convention floor. Any guess who comes out on top? Probably McCain, unless the party delegates end up selecting someone completely removed from any of the candidates we have now. Even then, anyone outside that box would have a mere 3 months to establish a campaign theme, develop a campaign strategy, and get people on the ground to implement it, and secure enough money to ensure that it happens, all while taking on a well-funded DNC machine.

Bush has sold us out at every turn. Excluding Iraq--a reasonable person can give him a pass on that--here's a list:

(1) No Child Left Behind
(2) Medicare Part D
(3) Roadmap for Peace
(4) The worst discretionary spending record since LBJ
(5) Punting on the First Amendment (McCain-Feingold)
(6) Punting on the Second Amendment (amicus brief supporting the D.C. gun ban)
(7) Farm subsidies on steroids
(8) Shamnesty for illegals

As for McCain, he is a Rockefeller Republican whose best quality is his service in Vietnam. Bless him for his service, but that hardly qualifies him to be President.

McCain has (a) promised more wars, (b) delivered legislation that curtailed on our freedoms, and (c) undermined the very qualities--pro-life, pr-gun, fiscal conservatism--that would otherwise make a case for conservatives to vote for him.
