And the circle is closed

Wednesday, November 14th, 2007

The immigration issue is big in this election season. Candidates suck up to their constituents using whatever shtick that works best. Blogs and commenters are alive with excited debates on the pros and cons of illegal immigration/immigration in general. It’s a great time to be a political junkie.

Every once in a while the rhetorical question comes up about terrorists entering the country illegally…it is not longer rhetorical. It appears that we have a story worthy of Vince Flynn in the case of Nada Nadim Prouty.

HotAir posted this news clip from the otherwise useless “Big Story” on Fox News:

Allah’s comments are worth a read as well.

Debbie Schlussel’s background, included in the HotAir link above but presented here as well, is very enlightening as well.

How can an otherwise private citizen, Ms. Schlussel, have more information on this illegal alien/barbarian spy turned Federal Agent than the Federal Agencies who hired her?

Anyone who had authority over Nada Nadim Prouty, who was responsible for her career in the FBI/CIA, should be fired immediately and investigated to determine if they were aware of what she was doing. While authors like Vince Flynn and Tom Clancy can write some wonderfully dramatic stories, for something like this to happen in reality there simply had to be something going on inside these agencies that allowed her to accomplish this feat.

I cannot begin to express my disgust at this whole mess.

The Surge

Wednesday, January 10th, 2007

Tonight the President announced what was the worst kept secret in America. The slight change in strategy along with a 20,000 troop increase largely dedicated to the pacification of Baghdad. The will of PM Maliki will have a lot to do with the success or failure of this plan and that is right and good. The Iraqi people have to get this sorted out among themselves. I still believe they can but some of the nutjobs are going to have to be dealt with.

One aspect of the plan was the linch pen for me:

In earlier operations, political and sectarian interference prevented Iraqi and American forces from going into neighborhoods that are home to those fueling the sectarian violence. This time, Iraqi and American forces will have a green light to enter these neighborhoods – and Prime Minister Maliki has pledged that political or sectarian interference will not be tolerated.

This was obvious to just about everyone I think. It is PRECISELY why we had to hit Fallujah twice. If PM Maliki can hold up his end of the deal we’ll succeed this time. I question his ability to pull this off however. We can certainly do it ourselves but I have to wonder if we have the stones to do it. We cannot fail and we will not fail.

Text of speech is below the fold.

More talk of cease-fires…geesh…

Sunday, July 30th, 2006

The civilized world has gone to long without a real war.  We watched as Bosnia, Ruanda, and now Sudan devolve into genocidal rampages and did absolutely nothing.  I guess it’s okay for a nation state to allow barbarians to slaughter citizens.  There were UN resolutions and even peace keepers sent to Bosnia…they were kept busy finding mass graves.  We have forgotten what it means to stand up to evil and offer it the dish it understands…total and complete annihilation.  Today, in our so very proper Political Correctness, we injure evil and then call a cease fire thus allowing evil to heal itself and continue on it’s merry way.

This morning the IDF struck a building in Qana, Lebanon.  60 dead with about 45 of those being kids.  First, who’s fault is it that those kids died?  Clearly not the children’s fault.  Their parents?  Israel has been bending over backwards to tell the citizenry to get out of Hell’s Way because hell is coming.  There are reports the barbarians are keeping people from leaving…no surprise there.  Allah Pundit is wondering about the timing of the ultimate collapse of the building in question. No surprise there either if it turns out that the barbarians destroyed the building…kids and all.  That is the personification of Evil…someone who would kill a child(let alone 45) for no real purpose.

The barbarians deserve to be destroyed totally.  If the “civilians” are supporting the barbarians then there is no difference between them and the barbarians…kill them.  If the “civilians” were prevented from leaving so as to be used as shields then we mourn their loss but we must kill the barbarians.  No amount of talking is going to save them anyway.  Once their usefulness is through they will be killed or worse.

Mr. President, stop the “cease-fire” garbage and offer all the support the IDF needs.  Cheer them on because they are doing what you obviously aren’t willing to do.  Kill the enemy.  Grow a pair and realize that this is a war for our very survival.  You can’t talk with barbarians.  You can’t deal with them.  Forcing a cease-fire on Israel will only give the barbarians time to heal up.  Kill the enemy.  Subjugate the enemy.  Terrorize the enemy.

Zarqawi: “Hey honey, what’s with the attitude and all these scales?”

Thursday, June 8th, 2006

Yesterday the United States Military ended the rather worthless life of Abu Zarqawi. His brother is now saying that ole Abu is a martyr. So I guess he’s sitting in what he believes to be paradise right about now and wondering if the marketing was wrong or perhaps he took a wrong turn in Pergatory.

Those 77 virgins are hardly what he expected. They may well be virgins but they surely ain’t as pretty as he thought they might be.

As Froggy says, good riddance, Bitch!

I’m sure more is to come here but this is a great day for the Iraqi people and all freedom loving people around the world. The barbarians in Iraq have to be more than alittle shaken by this. Sure, another head will grow on this Hydra but we’ve proven we can take deal with them. Line up boys, take a number and wait your turn. Your time is coming.

UPDATE: Reuters is quoting an ABCNEWS source stating:

“Zarqawi was apparently injured at first… The Americans found him. They handed him over to the Iraqis and he later died of his injuries,”

What a pity eh? Alittle Iraqi justice for ya there barbarian. I’m sure they treated your wounds real well. “How about alittle sand in that wound pal…” Heh. I love the “later died of his injuries” part. Hmmm…which injuries? The injuries from the bombing or the several hundred 7.62mm holes in him from after the bombings.

Snide Update: That Reuters report makes me wonder if we’ll be hearing about how inhumane the Iraqi police were toward this barbarian. How long will it take before the Domestic Enemies of America are lamenting the “alleged” lack of proper medical care afforded Zarqawi? You know it’s coming. Maybe we should send condolence cards to Ex-Marine Murtha.

Return of the Shah!

Monday, May 1st, 2006

Over at Human Events Online they are reporting that Son of Shah is plotting a “regime change” thingy. Why am I more than slightly suspect of this grand plan? Let’s look at this…

  1. Mr. Pahlavi currently lives in the US. Yeah yeah so he has the freedom to move around but I don’t think his welcoming party in Tehran will be a friendly one
  2. His Revolutionary Guard buddies are probably now being beaten to bloody pulps
  3. All manner of “activists” are probably being asked politely to “just wait against this wall…never mind those men with guns…”
  4. and lastly, we all know how well “civil disobedience” will go over in Tehran

Now this leads to another, more interesting question…is this some kind of “feeler” operation? Hmmm…we certainly do live in interesting times.

Freedom of Expression

Monday, February 13th, 2006

I’ve always loved watching people express themselves. I was in High School at the hieght of the “punk” craze and it was amazing the the stuff people did to express themselves. Spiked hair, ink, the beginnings of what has come to be known as “body mods”. Amazing stuff.

Artists are by their very nature expressive people. God Bless them for what they do…especially the visual art types. The things people can dream up in their heads and then somehow translate into something visual amazes me. Some folks get all bent out of shape about some works of art. Piss Christ(forgive me for not linking, search this blog for the title and you’ll find it) didn’t do anything for me personally and in fact I found it pretty offensive. But…it was the artist’s way of expressing his opinion of the Christian Faith. I don’t care for it but I respect his right to express himself.

Back in September some cartoon artists in Denmark expressed themselves concerning the Mohammed theme. For several months very little was said about it beyond a few blogs. In the past couple of weeks the “muslim street” tried to destroy itself over the “blasphemy”. Westerners were, and are, appalled at the violence, deaths, and acts of war resulting from the “outrage”. Westerners screamed about the “Freedom of Speech” and “Freedom of Expression” of the Denmark cartoonists. I happen to agree with them…being a “westerner” I guess it’s in my blood. It’s clearly not in the blood of the “muslim street”…heaven knows we’ve seen enough of it.

Here’s a test for those supporters of “Freedom of Expression” out there. Check out Giuseppe Veneziano’s latest.

Republican Scandal

Tuesday, January 10th, 2006

Rich Lowry is alittle kinder than I am on this one. I have kicked this around for a few days. Reading alittle bit here and there and trying to avoid the hyper partisan rantings on both sides.

One of the things that kills me about this is the Republican folks out there that are screaming, “Yeah? Well Democrats are in this mess as well!!!”. That just drives me nuts. Do we CARE if the Democrats are involved? NO! By and large this is a Republican scandal and that’s just the fact…get over the partisan ranting and look into the party for the guilty and prepare the political gallows. Let’s show the other parties that we are SEVERE in our punishment for such activity. Lowry is on the right track with this :

Republicans must take the scandal seriously and work to clean up in its wake. The first step was the permanent ouster of Tom DeLay as House Republican majority leader, a recognition that he is unfit to lead as long as he is underneath the Abramoff cloud. The behavior of the right in this matter contrasts sharply with the left’s lickspittle loyalty to Bill Clinton, whose maintenance in power many liberals put above any of their principles. Next, Republicans will have to show they can again embrace the spirit of reform that swept them to power in 1994.

I was STUNNED that Clinton’s cabinet came out in lockstep with him after he admitted he lied to us, and thus to the Grand Jury. When people at that level of government do NOTHING to condemn that behavior there is something very VERY wrong. The House impeached Clinton and his entire Cabinet by extension because not a single one of them came out forcifully against his behavior. I was expecting resignations but I got a Pep rally. And to think I voted for him twice.

For me to look upon this scandal any differently would be intellectually dishonest. Clinton was impeached for perjury and later acquitted by the Senate…but he still lied to the American people and that is something he will never out live. The members who are embroilled in this mess should carry the same stigma in all it’s muck and mire. ANY Conservative who looks past Republicans in Congress involved with Abramoff’s illegal activities are flat out lieing to themselves and ignoring their Conservative principles…end of discussion.

Notice, I said ILLEGAL activities. At the moment it is legal for Lobbyists to donate to campaigns. It is illegal for Lobbyists to bribe members directly. I don’t know the law concerning this and suspect said law to be pretty byzantine. I’ll have to trust the courts to get this right and the details will come out. When they do I fully expect every serious Conservative to hold republican and democrat alike accountable for their activities. For those found to be involved in illegal activity or even border line sleazy behavior(consult the Law According to Pilgrim for that definition) we shall try them, convict them, and put them in a very small cell with a special “friend” named “Billy Bob” for a Very. Long. Time.

Ladies and Gentlemen, it is WE who have to be at the front of this. The boneheads in Washington will protect themselves but they can’t ignore US. Do we want this kind of behavior? Will we stand for this abuse? Will we continue to allow it because “it’s the way things are and we can’t change it”? I say no…not just no but HELL NO.

Mr. Miniter of the OpinionJournal puts it best I think:

…Or as President Reagan noted in his farewell address in 1989, the American people won all of his victories in Congress with every call they made and every letter they wrote “demanding action.” The people have the power to move Capitol Hill, if they are willing to exercise it.

Friends, it’s time to move Capitol Hill.

Abramoff and his buddies

Tuesday, January 3rd, 2006

You are right Michelle, Abramoff is a sleaze bag. Anyone who is knowingly in bed with him is also a sleaze bag.

Call me an idealist but I think public servants should be completely transparent. It should come with the job. There is no more privacy for you. Your tax records, from the moment you are sworn in, becomes public record. I’m not advocating anything here, it’s a fact. Maybe not a legal fact but it is certainly a Red Pill fact. The only way to completely avoid having your privacy stripped from you is to avoid even the appearance of impropriety. That is something the current Governor of Kentucky has failed to grasp. We’ll see how many of our public servants in DC have also failed to grasp it.

We, the people, elect you because we believe in you and your ideas. When you garner the appearance of impropriety your integrity is called into question and we will have no further use for you. At least that is how it should be.

Here’s hoping that few, if any, get caught up in this mess. But for those that do, regardless of party, may you rot in prison for a very long time with a violent cellmate who mistakenly believes you are a child molester. I don’t care if you are Speaker Hastert or Congressman Chandler…Leader Frist or Senator Bunning.

Keep your nose clean folks.

Murtha wouldn’t join Military now…

Tuesday, January 3rd, 2006

On the ABC program “Nightline” Murtha was asked if he would join the military today.

“Would you join (the military) today?,” he was asked in an interview taped on Friday.

“No,” replied Murtha of Pennsylvania, the top Democrat on the House of Representatives subcommittee that oversees defense spending and one of his party’s leading spokesmen on military issues.

“And I think you’re saying the average guy out there who’s considering recruitment is justified in saying ‘I don’t want to serve’,” the interviewer continued.

“Exactly right,” said Murtha, who drew White House ire in November after becoming the first ranking Democrat to push for a pullout of U.S. forces from Iraq as soon as it could be done safely.

Ya know, I used to give this guy alittle room rhetorically speaking. He served in a time when Al-Kerry accused him of war crimes. But now… no. He’s free to have the opinion but I happen to think he’s dead wrong…again.

Actually he isn’t saying anything over the edge here. What irritates me is the implication that serving your country today is somehow the “wrong” thing to do.

Bite me Congressman. There are far better men than you who are willing to die for your right to hold uninformed opinions.

Senator McConnell chimes in

Sunday, January 1st, 2006

Today, my senior Senator, Mitch McConnell, on Fox News Sunday let us know what he thought about the NSA thing:

“We’re already talking about this entirely too much out in public as a result of these leaks … and it’s endangering our efforts to make Americans more secure,” McConnell said.

Amen sir. The hearings that are certainly going to be held on this, whether to determine the leak or to determine if the operation itself was legal, will have to be held in secret. This will drive the Anti-American Senators and House members nuts because they won’t be able to further damage our capabilities. Tough excrement. You are lucky we live in a more “sensitive” world than we used to.

But the sad fact is, they won’t respect a closed hearing either. They will be rushing to cameras to spew their guts as soon as, or before, the closing gavel rings in the chambers. Anything they can do to put our country in jeopardy is fair game to these people.

Thanks for chiming in Senator. Keep it up…you MUST be more vocal and tell Senator Bunning to speak up to. I would suggest doing the same for Congressman Chandler but he’s attached to the Pelosi\Kennedy Democrat teet.

Reality II – with illustration

Wednesday, December 7th, 2005

Today a tragic event played out at Miami International Airport. A man with Bi-Polar disorder had failed to take his medication and declared that he had a bomb. An Air Marshall ordered the man to the ground at which point the man reached for a carryon bag. Air Marshall did what he had to do and now the man is dead from one or more pistol rounds.

Referencing yesterday’s rant, That is reality. Now for an illustration of the contrived world of a Blue Pill person:

Federal Airport Nazis execute unarmed citizen

The Federal Marshalls assasinated an innocent citizen in Miami. These idiots murdered an unarmed passenger once they had him on the ground. Here’s a prediction. They will discover that 1) he wasn’t a terrorist and 2) he didn’t have a bomb and 3) he was unarmed and 4) they over-reacted and killed the poor man. Of course, this is just the price we have to pay for living in a police state.

Mr. Wallie left this on the Counterterrorism blog as a track back to their report of the incident.

1) The man wasn’t innocent. He was sick but certainly not innocent. Claiming to have a bomb in an airport is likely to get you shot in any airport in the world. Well, except France.

2) He was never on the ground willingly although he was ordered to the ground.

3) True he wasn’t a terrorist but how would the Air Marshall know that? The guy said he had a bomb and was reaching for his bag. Is Air Marshall supposed to wait until AFTER he’s been blown up to try and stop him?

4) True again, he didn’t have a bomb but how would the Air Marshall know that? Ask him? Wait for the hand to come out of the carry on bag with a rubber chicken?

5) They didn’t over react. Over reacting would have been jumping to conclusions before even confronting the man with the order to get on the ground. You are well familiar with jumping to conclusions though.

6) They did kill the man and it turned out to be a tragic, yet necessary, killing.

7) Police State? perhaps you are also off your medication.

Reality

Tuesday, December 6th, 2005

Reality is the rake that breaks your nose after you forgot and left it in the yard. Reality is that nasty cut on your hand when you fall on the broken glass. Reality is the bastards in the world ready to slowly strip the skin from your children while you and your wife are bound and forced to watch. Reality is the bastards in the world that fly airplanes full of innocent men, women, and children into buildings full of innocent men, women, and children. Reality sucks.

Fortunately we have a whole bunch of people in this country that refuse to accept the basic reality based fact that there are people in the world that will kill you for the simple pleasure of watching you die. No reason. No oppression. No political balderdash wrapped in an upside down American flag. These are the people that work for Human Rights Watch and the other people who cling to their outrageous reports exposing covert CIA locations around the world. Is it outrageous because the reports are false? I doubt it. Maybe because the locations are wrong? Doubt that to. It’s outrageous because these people don’t get it…they don’t understand what reality is.

I’m with Uncle Jimbo at Blackfive:

I’m about ready to just moor an aircraft carrier 50 miles off DC and centralize all funky operations out of there. Surround it with a bunch of Aegis Cruisers decked out with anti-missile gear and float a few shark boats underwater and Game on!

Here’s alittle more reality. We are at war. The enemy will stop at NOTHING to “win” and to them that means destroy America. While we are fighting terrorists the world over we fight this war against our own citizens who cannot accept reality. These people are the epitomy of Blue Pill People. They can’t see the real world because they are too busy looking at their contrived world where we can all just hug and sing some stupid song to get along.

You know what happens when you try to hug pre-war Saddam Hussein? His thugs kill you. You know what happens when you try to hug ol’ Stumpy Zarqawi? He knocks you down and slowly relieves you of your brain bag. If we capture Zarqawi do you really think a nice cushy cell, 3 Islamic friendly meals a day, Prayer Beads, and a Koran is going to make him tell us about his network? Well you are wrong. The only way to get this barbarian to talk is to threaten him with a slow painful not-quite-death…and then exercising your option of it. They don’t fear death…they do fear pain for they are cowards.

Is the above activity against the standards of a civilized society? Absolutely. But, dear reader, let me ask you this:

Since when has civilized behavior won a war of attrition?

That’s the reality of this War on Terror, deal with it.

Update: Of course, Wretchard of the Belmont Club has an excellent article related to this. He goes into the moral issues surrounding torture. Excellent excellent read…as always.

Possible tragedy for the Al-Qaeda wing of the Democrat party

Sunday, November 20th, 2005

Rumors are swirling about the possible demise of that man without a country, Zarqawi.

If it turns true, I’ll be taking a donation for sympathy chocolate(heavilly laced with Exlax) to be sent to Senators Al-Kennedy and Al-Durbin.

This Sergeant gets it…and you should too

Friday, November 18th, 2005

Sgt Hook has posted an open letter from a Sergeant in the 101st ABN to the American people, dare I say the World. It is required reading. Like Hook, I’ve never met this lad and doubt I ever will. On the off chance I do, the beer is on me for as long as he’s vertical.

Sergeant, because you “Get it” so clearly and you are based in Kentucky, here’s your Half Horse – Half Gator brother.

Now, reprinted from Sgt. Hook, read this:

Mom,

Be my voice. I want this message heard. It is mine and my platoon’s to the country. A man I know lost his legs the other night. He is in another company in our batallion. I can no longer be silent after watching the sacrifices made by Iraqis and Americans everyday.Send it to a congressman if you have to. Send it to FOX news if you have to. Let this message be heard please…

My fellow Americans, I have a task for those with the courage and fortitude to take it. I have a message that needs not fall on deaf ears. A vision the blind need to see. I am not a political man nor one with great wisdom. I am just a soldier who finds himself helping rebuild a country that he helped liberate a couple years ago.

I have watched on television how the American public questions why their mothers, fathers, brothers, and sisters are fighting and dying in a country 9000 miles away from their own soil. Take the word of a soldier, for that is all I am, that our cause is a noble one. The reason we are here is one worth fighting for. A cause that has been the most costly and sought after cause in our small span of existence on our little planet. Bought in blood and paid for by those brave enough to give the ultimate sacrifice to obtain it. A right that is given to every man, woman, and child I believe by God. I am talking of freedom.

Freedom. One word but yet countless words could never capture it’s true meaning or power. “For those who have fought for it, freedom has a taste the protected will never know.” I read that once and it couldn’t be more true. It’s not the average American’s fault that he or she is “blind and deaf” to the taste of freedom. Most American’s are born into their God given right so it is all they ever know. I was once one of them. I would even dare to say that it isn’t surprising that they take for granted what they have had all their life. My experiences in the military however opened my eyes to the truth.

Ironically you will find the biggest outcries of opposition to our cause from those who have had no military experience and haven’t had to fight for freedom. I challenge all of those who are daring enough to question such a noble cause to come here for just a month and see it first hand. I have a feeling that many voices would be silenced.

I watched Cindy Sheehan sit on the President’s lawn and say that America isn’t worth dying for. Later she corrected herself and said Iraq isn’t worth dying for. She badmouthed all that her son had fought and died for. I bet he is rolling over in his grave.

Ladies and gentleman I ask you this. What if you lived in a country that wasn’t free? What if someone told you when you could have heat, electricity, and water? What if you had no sewage systems so human waste flowed into the streets? What if someone would kill you for bad-mouthing your government? What if you weren’t allowed to watch TV, connect to the internet, or have cell phones unless under extreme censorship? What if you couldn’t put shoes on your child’s feet?

You need not to have a great understanding of the world but rather common sense to realize that it is our duty as HUMAN BEINGS to free the oppressed. If you lived that way would you not want someone to help you????

The Iraqi’s pour into the streets to wave at us and when we liberated the cities during the war they gathered in the thousands to cheer, hug and kiss us. It was what the soldier’s in WW2 experienced, yet no one questioned their cause!! Saddam was no better than Hitler! He tortured and killed thousands of innocent people. We are heroes over here, yet American’s badmouth our President for having us here.

Every police station here has a dozen or more memorials for officers that were murdered trying to ensure that their people live free. These are husbands, fathers, and sons killed every day. What if it were your country? What would your choice be? Everything we fight for is worth the blood that may be shed. The media never reports the true HEROISM I witness everyday in the Iraqi’s. Yes there are bad one’s here, but I assure you they are a minuscule percent. Yet they are a number big enough to cause worry in this country’s future.

I have watched brave souls give their all and lose thier lives and limbs for this cause. I will no longer stand silent and let the “deaf and blind” be the only voice shouting. Stonewall Jackson once said, “All that I have, all that I am is at the service of the country.” For these brave souls who gave the ultimate sacrifice, including your son Cindy Sheehan, I will shout till I can no longer. These men and women are heroes. Their spirit lives on in their military and they will never be forgotten. They did not die in vain but rather for a cause that is larger than all of us.

My fellow countrymen and women, we are not overseas for our country alone but also another. We are here to spread democracy and freedom to those who KNOW the true taste of it because they fight for it everyday. You can see the desire in their eyes and I am honored to fight alongside them as an Infantryman in the 101st Airborne.

Freedom is not free, but yet it is everyone’s right to have. Ironic isn’t it? That is why we are here. Though you will always have the skeptics, I know that most of our military will agree with this message. Please, at the request of this soldier spread this message to all you know. We are in Operation Iraqi Freedom and that is our goal. It is a cause that I and thousands of others stand ready to pay the ultimate sacrifice for because, Cindy Sheehan, freedom is worth dying for, no matter what country it is! And after the world is free only then can we hope to have peace.
